Olduvai Gorge
Olduvai Gorge is also known as the “Cradle of Mankind" as it is the
site where Louis and Mary Leakey found the remains of our earliest
ancestors amongst others. The archaeological finds through the work
of the Laekeys have been displayed overlooking the gorge.
This also includes prehistoric animal remains that were found in that
area. Over 150 species of mammals have been identified. The museum
also holds pictures that depict the life of Olduvai’s earliest inhabitants.
