Day 1: NAIROBI - AMBOSELI
An early morning departure by light aircraft from Wilson Airport,
Nairobi flying over the Athi Plains into the bushy country of Amboseli
National Park. Amboseli is the perfect auditorium for scenic views
of Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. An afternoon game
drive in a 4 X 4 Safari Cruiser at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain.
Dinner and overnight is at one of the Amboseli Lodges, located in
the very heart of the Amboseli National Park.
Day 2: AMBOSELI Amboseli is known for its abundance of elephants
as well as hippopotamus, giraffe, lion and black rhino. Two game drives
for a chance to photograph the animals against the silhouette of Mt
Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 3: AMBOSELI-NAIROBI After breakfast, fly back to Nairobi.
Overnight in Nairobi.
Day 4: NAIROBI - SAMBURU After breakfast, fly over constantly
changing landscapes to Samburu. After lunch, an afternoon game drive
to sight resident wildlife species like the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s
Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the blue-necked Somali Ostrich that are rare
elsewhere in the country. Dinner and the night will be spent along
the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River at the luxurious Samburu lodges.
Day 5: Samburu Further exploration of this fascinating reserve
awaits you. Early morning and afternoon game drives give a chance
to explore some of the world’s most spectacular and exciting terrain.
Overnight and meals at the lodge.
Day 6: SAMBURU - MT KENYA SAFARI CLUB After breakfast, a leisurely
drive to Mt Kenya Safari Club for a unique blend of comfort, relaxation
and adventure. Mt Kenya Safari Club is one of the Leading Hotels of
the World. It has been constructed right at the Equator on a ridge
facing Mt Kenya. The Club is set amidst 100 acres of manicured lawns,
ornamental ponds, streams and flowerbeds. Moving back and forth its
lawns is an amazing parade of enormous birds: marabou storks, peacocks
and cranes. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at the Club.
Day 7: MT KENYA SAFARI CLUB - MARA After breakfast, transfer
to the Nanyuki airstrip for a spectacular flight over the Rift Valley
to the Masai Mara - the land of vast migrating herds. After lunch,
embark on a game drive on a 4 X 4 Safari Cruiser to get a closer look
at the Mara. Return to your lodge / tented camp for dinner and overnight
stay.
Day 8: MARA Two game drives for the day in this country of
breath-taking vistas, a panorama of vast rolling plains and rounded
hills, of intermittent groves of acacia woodlands and dense thickets
of scrub. And in every direction there are seemingly endless herds
of game animals - black maned lions, buffalo, black rhino, hippopotamus,
leopard, cheetah, common zebra, Coke’s hartebeest, white-bearded gnu,
oribi, warthog and Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles. The bird life of
Mara is as profuse as its mammalian fauna. All meals and overnight
stay are at the lodge / tented camp.
Day 9: After breakfast, a short drive takes you to the airstrip
where your light aircraft will fly you back to Nairobi. |
