RS 301 - Nakuru – Mara
Day 1: In the morning, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park
situated on the floor of the world’s greatest land rift - the Great
Rift Valley. After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park.
This park provides a sanctuary for the endangered black rhino and
the Rothschild's Giraffe. Additionally, the fluctuating shores of
Lake Nakuru host one of the greatest bird spectacles in the world
- millions of flamingoes that turn the shores of the lake pink. Dinner
and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 2: After breakfast, drive through the
breathtakingly, spectacular Great Rift  Valley
to Masai Mara – the greatest of nature's stages. After
lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive to get a closer
look at the Mara. On the plains, with their endless
vistas and enormous herds of grazing animals, look
for the predators hidden among the acacia trees: Black-maned
lion, cheetah and leopard. There are hippos in the
rivers and exotic birds everywhere. Thereafter, return
to your lodge / tented camp for dinner and overnight
stay.
Day 3: Early morning, embark on a game drive that promises
to be thrilling. The sheer enormity of the Mara and the abundance
of exotic wildlife offer endless opportunities for excitement. Return
to your lodge / tented camp for steaming hot breakfast prior to departure
for Nairobi. |
